The Frame
Set on its side rather than upright, this solitaire takes a classic cut and gives it a modern posture. The rectangular brilliant sits horizontally across the band in an east-west orientation, its clipped corners and long clean lines reading more architectural than traditional.
The stone is held inside a low, enclosed gold frame with folded tabs securing it at the corners and edges, so the setting wraps the stone rather than standing above it. That low profile keeps the ring close to the hand and comfortable for daily wear, with no raised claws to catch on clothing.
The shank is a slender rounded comfort-fit band in warm polished gold, tapering smoothly into the head so the profile stays flat and uninterrupted from every angle. Under directional light the facets throw bright internal flashes across the table — a piece that catches the eye without ever shouting.
